Question about tyre pressure Empty Question about tyre pressure

Post by imranyusof 2013-01-30, 8:47 am

Hate to ask a rookie question like this but here goes:

My new FOFI XTR will only have at most 1-2 other passengers, driving to work most times or carrying one piece of luggage when going out of town.

The tyres are rated (according to the side sticker) for 210 kPa front and for 180 kPa rear. Can't I just pump them all up to 220 and not have to think much more about it until my next visit to the petrol station?

Your insights are much appreciated!

Thanks.

It's up to you as long as you don't stray too far from manufacturer's recommendation. As for me I'll check and make sure my front tyres at 35 psi and rear 30 psi every week. Maybe it's just me but I'm kinda sensitive to the sluggish steering feel when tyres pressure is too low for my taste.

Good stuff! Thanks.

Methinks I'll go 33 psi on all four and see if it works well. Interesting that the rear is rated 46psi for 4-5 passengers plus baggage.
