Re: Fiesta fail to start at first inition start engine
Is the Battery replacement covered under the 3 years free service?
Just to share my experience at a service center as this topic is under workshop/service center reviews.
During my Fiesta's 1.6hb's 60k KM free major service. The service manager assured that my battery of 2 years+ could still be used.
One month later, as expected, the battery died.
I called the service center up and asked for the replacement battery which was supposed to be covered by my last free service only to be told that they will have to charge me RM 4xx for the replacement.
Finally, changed my battery with a Century 55D23L for RM 2xx at an official Century dealer.
Come my 70k KM Service (my first paid service), they were complaining about how I shouldn't have changed my battery outside the service center.
The standard RM 230++ minor service was brought up to RM 470++ with additional RM40 for throttle cleaning and RM150 for AC refrigerant replacement + compressor oil replacement.
Apparently I need to maintain my AC every 70,000KM by replacing refrigerant.
I do not think that the refrigerant replacement was necessary for the 2 year old car.
My overall view on this service center is that it performs their services promptly but fails at capturing my confidence or trust after a few minor hiccups here and there (example: forgetting to change the wipers even when the item is stated on receipt and late discovery of water pump malfunction... and more)
