Fiesta 1.4 MT vs Fiesta 1.6 Sports
Hi,
I am Eelyn from Puchong.
I have been thinking for quite a while of whether to get the MT 1.4 or Auto 1.6 sports? As i love manual cars, but at the same time, im looking for a powerful yet stable with good handling one. I have started to love the 1.6 sports at first sight which i've tried few weeks back. The car's stability, handling & power is there. But at the same time, im considering if the manual 1.4 transmission would give me that kind of feeling while driving.
I dont mind spending a few thousand to change the coil spring, rims, tyres but the only thing which im concern of is the power, will i be driving the manual one with good performance after modifying all the above stated?
I've surveyed and calculated that even after modification, the price of the manual wil still be lower than the current 1.6 sports' price.
Have anyone here tested the manual specs? I have requested for a test drive, but none of them came back to me on it. I need to get some comments from here.
That will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Re: Fiesta 1.4 MT vs Fiesta 1.6 Sports
The 1.6 is actually a manual dual clutch gear box. The gear changes are done electronically via mechanical actuators.
So you will get all the advantages of a manual box in auto mode.
Becoz it's dual clutch, it will change gears faster and smoother than any human is able to do and will always be in the right gears.
The 1.6 also come with ESP/TCS/Hill assist and dual airbags.
With to-days horrendous traffic jams a daily occurrence it makes sense to go auto.
