Re: Superchips Auto???
What? You're glad someone broke their car? Tsk..tsk..tsk..
Superchips have one major flaw, if it fails so does your car. From what i googled it does fail. Plus performance gained from it is quite minimal.
And for the record, transmission wont be affected from superchips mod. It is more likely your ECU or your engine.
The only way I can think of (to wreck your tranny) is that you mod your engine to go over 150 hp as your flywheel is designed to withstand power up to 150 hp max (this is assumed you go for standard flywheel).

Re: Superchips Auto???
Oh no... Maybe typo =)
What i mean perhaps Superchips had already found out their product problem that is why removed from the forum; likely the superchips member broken their gearbox =P
*somebody = perhaps those who testing in their car, now faced problem then temporary halted their business here
My 2cents...

Re: Superchips Auto???
spymonkey...
I did understand that the ECU did comand the engine & never broke the tranny, just imagine your engine deliver more power force to tranny? How our dual clutch tranny gonna take all the load?
If general clutch tranny I agreed, but dual clucth system is still to new yet the chip are built more than 10 years ago... So guys, don't you think putting any ECU upgrade is too early now?
Well I wanted to put Unichip, but they turn me down instead... They ask me not to be the white mice, better wait for the new Unichip for DC tranny which might come next year design for Ecoboost market =) as per inform by the manager European car is going toward dual clucth and diesel so new ECU is on the way

Re: Superchips Auto???
Power increase from ECU modding alone is quite minimal, it's hard go over 150hp threshold without touching other stuff too.

Re: Superchips Auto???
Probably true, as this is normally what you get with modded chips.

Re: Superchips Auto???
Hey guys...
Actually there's nothing wrong with the Bulefin. Just that our Malaysia Fiesta ECU is not compatible. So now UK side gotta do a new remap for the local market. No Fiestas were spoiled after installing the Bluefin. I'm still driving my car around.
Power increase for non-turbo petrol cars are different with turbofied cars. Remapping the ECU doesn't mean it will boost a 40bhp increase.
Cheers!

You're a funny guy, sfunglee. If we wanted to give any excuses, it will be some other excuses rather than telling everyone that the ECU is not compatible. We are just being transparent about the issue and I hope that other forum members here appreciate it. Maybe you do not understand much about remapping as these issues do happen occasionally even in REVO/APR remaps with VW.
Anyway, lets close this subject as we rectify the issue in UK. Will keep everyone updated later on. Many thanks for the kind understanding, guys. Cheers!

Re: Superchips Auto???
Transparent? Superchips is not exceeding the price RM 1XXX.00
Of course a trader won't like to be challenge right?
How do you rectify the issue in UK? By based of yourself an engineering team in Superchips or a localized trader point of view?

Re: Superchips Auto???
Hi Pullman,
Not sure what you mean by Superchips is not exceeding the price of RM1XXX.00. Hope you can clarify this. And I really feel that this is not a challenge. There was an issue installing the local fiesta and so we informed everyone about it openly. There is no hidden agenda at all. Hope you don't get us wrong on this.
And when I said "we are rectifying this issue in UK" means Superchips UK will solve the problem. Superchips Auto is the appointed dealer and partner in Malaysia.
Cheers!
