hey all,
i m new ford fiesta sedan owner,,i has doubt with my car acceleration issue .
does anyone experience when u drove in low speed 10-30km in car-park or in car jammed,,,,when u press the oil,,,ur car will shake when changing gear ,,,just felt like new-driver drove manual car ,,,press the acceleration hard with holding the clerk and then release the clerk,,,the car accelerate in sudden !

is it nature of this car habbit or my engine need re-fine tuned again !!!
Please advise.

It's clutch, not clerk.

And the jerkiness is called gear hunting IINM. When you move slowly and accelerate pass a certain speed, the gear will go up by 1 gear but slow down a bit, it downshifts by 1 gear. Think of it as being on the border where two gears are supposed to switch. Typical of dual clutch gearboxes I guess. Even my colleague's Volvo has this jerkiness if you try to crawl.

Trick is to let the car in front of you gain a fair distance before you start accelerating. That way you can apply steady pressure and don't have to always gingerly tap on the accelerator pedal. Of course, some situations are not possible and nothing can be done about it.

are you regret? hehehe... lets hope it won't last long. over the time, it'll better; either the gear is better, or your skill improved.

p/s: never happened to my sedan.

Once you get used to the car's creeping and acceleration characteristics, learning how to adjust the amount of pressure to apply on the pedal shouldn't take too long.
