DIY - Air-con Filter

Ya, let do the purchase common!

guys, when? i was so hoping i could get a proper cabin air filter in time for my weekend trips.

since my first reply, i had been asking my friend to scout for alternatives in singapore.

as i mentioned earlier, i had seen interesting filters made in japan sold in singapore sometime in 2005.

a friend replaced the filter in his RX450 with one made by FRAM. unfortunately to date there is no compatible part for ford fiesta.

Where is this air-con filter will be installed? It install at before blower or before cooling coil?

Is the filter that you are selling the same as the M2 filters in the video? That means need to use 2 pcs of it?

bug wrote:it should be located before the blower and cooling coil...... the location of installing the cabin filter is at the bottom of center console on the driver side..... you open the plastic cover you'll see a metal plate covered with screw.... unscrew it you'll see a narrow straight rectangular hole for you to install the filter.... total 2 pieces filter so you need to insert one after another.....

Do you mean it filter before fan blower or what?

You mentioned that position is before the cooling coil only.

Is the aircon filter still available? I'm interested.

Meanwhile, may I know what is the effect if we do not have the aircon filter installed? Is there a reason why Fiesta does not come with the filter? Is it harmful for the passengers in the car?

dzeisen, to install the Aircond Filter is good for your aircond life time.

It will filter the dust and good for passengers to breath cleaner air in cabin room.

not sure y Ford Malaysia didnt have it installed. maybe to cut cost or they feel it's not important.

I am just curious - since this is such a basic equipment, how come it is not factory installed?

Any idea where I can get the Fiesta air filter? Thanks!
