Really? Photos please. I'm asking since I wanted to try CC5 the other day, shop guy said the size (16/195/50) isnt available yet. I have CC2 on my fofi.kentheking89 wrote:Just wondering what stock tire do other owner get because when I get my fofi, it's a Conti CC5

Re: Model of stock tyres
Is ContiPremiumContact 2 (CPC 2) or for that matter Continental the only tires that can fit our car?I had a puncture on my left rear tyre recently and had it fixed. However since then, it visually appears as if the tyre is loosing pressure after some time. I got it check at the tyre shop and they didn't detect any air leaking from the puncture site. Google for a few tire brands and seems that no brands have our tire size other than Continental.

The other brand I can find is Falken. There are others, because the other day my tyre puncture on NKVE, i realised it too late and caused my tyre to bloat. The shop didnt have conti but asked me if i wanted other brands, i didnt asked though because i was in a hurry. I went to a conti shop nearby.

Re: Model of stock tyres
can try 205/45 16 height and width compensation with stock 195/50. The side wall height different might not be noticeable 92.25mm (205) vs 97.5mm (195). 205/45 shouldnt be hard to get as every shop carries this size.
give you a low profile look, i might say the comfort will have to be sacrificed every bumps, nooks and crannies you'll feel it especially if you go for hard suspension set up. I can still tolerate it.
our size might not so hard to look, back those days try to look for waja standard size 195/55 15 (common size for 15 is 195/50). These tyres were charged at premium back then so most of waja owners settled for 16 wheels with common size tyre.
if you guys decide to go for any other soft compound tyre please change your tyres once the thread reaches 50%. It has good grip for both dry and wet, but when it surpass the mark, wet grip is compromised when you do hard braking. Bad experienced on this.

Re: Model of stock tyres
Previously ive been using conti sPort contact - imho it has a good balance between wet and dry grip not a performance tyre tho but only managed to use it for 6 months before i decide to sell my car.
CPC2? Mmmm just 1 month of usage, so am not sure how it wears out. Have red from others that this tyre wears out quite fast, then again thats in europe. Have to wait for others to comment on this.
Falken - surpass 50% its a no-no for me. Just doesnt grip when wet.

Re: Model of stock tyres
I see, sorry for that misunderstanding. I dont understand by the way you put those words.
If durability is not an issue, then you would want to consider softer compound but be warned of the thread wear.
Harder compound (i.e. simex, silverstone usually all the cheaper stuff) wears errrr slow (damn slow if u asked me, ive used dunlop close to 3 years and the thread still far from the thread wear marker). Noisy, doesnt brake that well.
Sporty look, efficient grip, yokies advan neova hahaha burn my wallet tho
Affordable, with that criteria? Mmmmmm i would pick Eagle f1. Tried n tested. Others you might want to consider kumho Ecsta.
That is based on my personal opinion and experience others may have different preference.
