Engine Temperature Gauge
Hi guys, if I'm not mistaken there is no engine temperature gauge for our cars other than an outside temperature gauge together with the display for fuel consumption, is it?

I don't think they cut corners by removing one of the critical function of the car.

Re: Engine Temperature Gauge
Hmmm.... But does it only shows the engine light when the temperature has gone up really high like the older generation of cars or the threshold before the light appears has been set at a lower level?

I dunno about fiesta, but other conti cars will give warning... saying that coolant temp high... ask us reduce speed... if temp continue to go higher then will ask to stop car immediately....

Re: Engine Temperature Gauge
i remember the time when all cars came with oil pressure gauge and amp meter too...
Nowadays, it comes with distance before next fill up and FC figures.
Guess times have changed.

I encountered this, but warning was for transmission. It asked me to stop or drive faster. I was stuck in jam during midday.

You mean the msg said the gear box was over heating during a mid day jam...
I think you need to send back to SC and see what the error msg is.
Even tho' it is a dry clutch, the gear box does have oil and is a sealed unit.
Reports ( unsubstantiated at the moment) of leaking GB oil might cause this problem too.
Pls check.

Re: Engine Temperature Gauge
If u have a android phone, download a software name "torque". Buy a bluetooth OBD II device. U can get almost all info from the ECU.

I doubt it, because it's one time only. Moreover i did my 1k checkup, they didnt mention anything to me. Now if its right, then my GB went kaput already.
@tming77 good to know, how to connect that android to the ecu? Bluetooth ka?
