With this topic,do yours warm up your car engine in the morning?and how long you warm your engine ?throttle free?

For us ,normally I warmup my car around 5min ,with fully switch off air -con ,no throttle.

hmm. not that necessary to warm up the engine for the fuel injection based, right. compared to the old timer carburetor based engine

injection no need kua. carb need lor. but i up keep my car's carb and engine well, so warming up the car also not really needed unless i didn't start the car for very long

I just go light on the throttle for the first 5-10 minutes if the engine is cold...

if i not mistaken, fuel injection no need to warm up because they'll kinda supply more heat when the car is cold. not like carb. i don't know how to tell, but there is something there to provide heat to the engine when your engine is too cold.

Thanks for the input, last time my neighbour own his Kxx ,He never warm up engine, so far i meet ,after 1 year ,that car engine like diesel engine!

Warm up car no because fuel injection or carburetor, because the lubricant when cool, oil are at the bottom of oil sum, needed time to carries up the oil until cyclinder head camshaft, warm up can bring down the friction between the piston and cyclinder block.

Regarding the engine warm up ,just depend ?whether you needed or not?

when the oil is below operating temp, it's much thicker... causing more drag to the engine movement.... further more the ecu will be running the engine rich on fuel when the oil is cold... that's why you will feel less power... so just take it easy and dun rev the engine....

it does more harm letting the a cold engine idling for long than to drive off immediately(light throttle).....

The Kxx theta engine uses a timing chain with a lash mechanism.
The diesel llike clatter on start up is a known to happen esp if using synthetic oil.

This, i usually warm-up for around 3mins or until the rev meter drops below 1k.
