No leaking as far as I can see, only the juddering when moving from standstill. And that only happens after 1-2 hours of driving non-stop in traffic (mostly driving slow, alot of stop and go). Otherwise it behaves normally.

Tomorrow going for 10k service, will ask them to check.

I observe the juddering on my car happens only when shifting from 1st-2nd gear, meaning it is the 2nd gear clutch that is slipping. Let's see what they say after checking Mad

How old is your car? which SC did you sent it to?

An update on my case. After a test drive, the SA observes that it is more like TCM problem. So I left my car there for one day to update to the latest firmware and test drive. The new TCM firmware he told me was made available less than a month ago, so it is definitely the latest. But they were instructed to only install them on to cars that were said to have clutch issues. He also told me Fiestas made in/after July 2012 were "countermeasured" against leaking clutch seals, so he said they'll update the TCM and let me test it first to see if the problem still persists.

My observation on the new TCM: at low speeds gearshifts are more "determined" and smooth, less hesitation and jerking due to frequent shifts. Previously a normal 100 meter dash from a junction would cause the car to shift up to third gear at low RPMs, now it seems it is more willing to hold it's revs and the resulting upshifts are smoother. More amazingly, the low speed grinding/clicking sound have been significantly reduced!!

As for the question whether it has solved the juddering, I havent drove it long enough to confirm that. Will keep you guys posted.

Oh I sent me car to SDAC PJ, btw, attended by SA Salfiril Smile He seems quite knowledgeable, so that's good.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I considered sending my car to the Penchala SC because they have a shorter waiting list than PJ (When I called up, they say I can come the next day!!). But, I have more faith in the knowledge pool available at a SDAC SC when it comes to these kind of problems, and the SA Salfiril prove to be a competent SA indeed. If it comes to authorised SC (not SDAC), I'm not even sure if they have the latest TCM update. But you are right, the parts waiting period is abysmal, although at the time of sending in, Salfiril told me they may have stock for the clutch pack if they have to replace it.

I can't speak for your other problems, since my experience is only with the clutch and TCM. Hope you get sorted out soon, but don't be upset, at least the car is driveable.

Just curious, when you say temperature reading, you mean your coolant temperature, or the ambient temperature that is displayed at the meter cluster?

Happened to my Fifi Sedan since last week. My gf told me the car vibrate when wanna accelerate. Then i tested, it's vibrate everytime after break. Called SDAC PJ bout this problem and they asked me to walk in this coming Monday to check. Hopefully can fix this problem asap. Felt so irritating every time i accelerate. No

Sounds like the new TCM update has done you wonders...I do hope that they will be willing to update the TCM for those who do not have the clutch problems as well, will try and ask during my 30k service. Very Happy

Good news is this is a known problem with known solutions, it's either a TCM update or clutch replacement, so I won't worry too much other than preparing alternative transportation for the next few days Cool

It's not without it's downsides: acceleration from standstill seems slightly more sluggish, like you forgot to release your handbrake. But it recovers once I'm up to speed.

the creep function (the car moves by itself after you release your brake, but before pressing the throttle) also seems to kick in later than before, meaning after releasing the brakes the car waits for a while before creeping forward. But this is good for me because I tend to avoid creeping as it wears out the clutch sooner, instead I gas the throttle before the car starts to creep so the clutch "grabs" sooner.
