When is the first service due?

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I'm confused. When I took delivery of my car, my SA said that the first service is at 1k mileage but I can't find anything mentioned on 1k mileage service is required inside the booklet.

Officially first service should be 10k km. The 1k km service is voluntary and you have to pay for it yourself.

Thanks for the info. I'm worried about the warranty if I don't go for the 1k service. Will it be affected or not?

No worries agl7_munif the 1k service is more of a visual inspection to see if everything about the car is functioning correctly and the very general inspections which doesn't involve with any liquid changes, nothing to worry about.

SPeaking of the supposedly free 1k inspection, I asked my SA about this. He said no such thing, SC won't entertain wor. This is at PJ SDAC

Thanks for the reply. I called SDAC Jalan Ipoh about this and they said that first service is at 10k, can also do at 1k bit need to pay. They did not mention anything about inspection but the Ford representative on FB said that the 1k inspection is recommended. From what I understand, recommended isnot required right. I'll try to set an appointment with them for the inspection since I want to ask them about the loud engine noise during idle. Someone on LYN complained to them about this and they found that the tappet clearance are not right. Mine also has this kind of old car sound during idle.
