Charging keyfob battery Empty Charging keyfob battery

Post by dares 2013-01-10, 5:47 pm

Hi guys. I hope this hasn't been asked before, but when I collected my car at SDAC, the SA told me that the keyfob battery will be charged whenever it is plugged into the ignition keyhole, and that I should use the spare key periodically to keep it charged. This way both keys will never run out of power (until many years later when the battery life expires la)

Is it true?

Erms...don't think there's such a thing. Just change the battery when it is nearly out of power. Won't be much of a hassle anyways since the battery can last for years.
