Fiesta Voice Recognition Phone Dialling
I know probably not many people actually use it, but anyone have any problems getting the in-car voice recognition of your Fiesta to dial properly? I have not been successful getting it to recognise the word 'FOUR' (4). It keeps 'hearing' it as 7
Is this something that the people at the SC can fix, or is it the software/mic system too complex for them?
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Fiesta Voice Recognition Phone Dialling
Hello tritonite,
So far I have no problem with the recognition system as its working fine so far (touch wood). However sending the car back to the SC I doubt that they can rectify it as I have on many occasions sent my car back to check for very minor issues and they just come up with so lame stupid reasons and leave the issues unresolved. They are in my opinion just not well trained and professional enough I guess.

Well, that's disappointing, especially since that's probably the one thing i would use the voice recognition for... But honestly I wasn't optimistic that the sc would be able to do anything.
Oh well. Here's hoping that someone else here will eventually experiment and find out how to fix these more 'techy' problem with the Fiesta.

I had the same issue but when i say 2 it recognized '4 instead. i did sent it back, just as predicted.SDAC says there is nothing wrong, they check with software. I did managed to try saying 2 but continue with a set of numbers instead of individual of saying 2

Re: Fiesta Voice Recognition Phone Dialling
I am pretty sure there isn't a problem with the mic/system. What you can try to do however is speak slowly, in block digits and in sets of 3 numbers take your time in articulating your words and trying different accents.
Also, do remember that you can save the phone no. to the designated names, so it wont be a tedious experience in having to dial with numbers constantly. If its stored you can just dial a no. by saying a Name. Dial Name > "Name Please" > Ted > "Dialling"
Start with "Store Name" > Prompted by "Name Please", "Stored" > No. Please > 012-222-xxx-x.

Try to speak 'TEU' or 'TEO' instead of two as mentioned by one of the forumer here, and it successfully read it as 2 instead of 4 *finger cross*

Hahah, yea I forgot that part! You missed the part where it will ask "Dial Ted, Yes or No?"
Women :Dial
You: "Ted"
Women: Yes or no?
You: Yes
Women: Dialling...
And It's such a turn off when they say the stored name "Ted" it interrupts the flow of the soothing women's voice.
