Re: Sierra Glow vs PPS
It isn't too late to do either Sierra Glow or PPS coatings right?
Cos my white fiesta is 2 months old and I've regretted not doing the coating earlier..I'm seeing water marks which aches me
And as Tristan mentioned, do we have quotes on how much Sierra Glow & PPS cost for Fiestas?
Thanks

For SGlow, Fiesta is RM450. No not too late however, before they start work. SGlow ppl very smart, they thoroughly check the current condition of the FoFi for scratches and pebble chips. It's for their disclaimer purposes.
So far after 1.5 months, I've only rinse the car with water. I'm quite impressed.

I've tried SG on my other ride. 14 mths and it is still shining.
Very easy to maintain as well. Water with little shampoo.

Wao, I think you are the first user I came across who has used SG for 14 months. So far in the other forums, those with SG experience by far dates back to about 1 year only. Anyway good to know that and I've already book an appt to do SG today.

Re: Sierra Glow vs PPS
Did my SG on Friday afternoon. Sent the car in before 1pm. Slightly after that, it was raining cats and dogs around USJ area. In a way, it was a blessing in disguise - because that means the likelihood of rain is lesser when I collect my car later. 6 hours later, I went over to collect my car at 7.30pm. The car certainly looks shiny after all the hardwork done on it. However, no chance to take any photo of the car as I was busy up till this afternoon. So these photos are basically after the car has been driven through a heavy downpour in KL yesterday afternoon and without any sort of cleaning or hosting with water yet. I must say that so far the results are unbelievable. See for yourself ...

For comparison the tyre shine on all four tyres were long gone after driving through the downpour & some dirt can be seen on the part of the panel nearest to the rear wheel

Tiny water beads can be seen as the sky is starting to let go again ...

No difference to the naked eye or JPEG. Can only feel it. First of all it's Silver Highlight, very difficult to see the difference. Of course, my wifey chose the color, dirty also difficult to see.
SG gives 5 year warranty. Now this warranty has a lot of disclaimers and of course warranty with not much guarantee usage after driving on road with uncertainties right? Therefore, got or not also really does not matter. Smart la business ppl
Anyway, this Mr.Choong give the usual tips of taking care, which to me is slightly less hassle. These tips were same as the ones other generous owner's reply in this thread topic.
Oh ya, while on the way there that morning, I paused briefly at the USJ summit traffic lights and spotted a Blue coror FoFi next to me. Plate was WUUxxxx, driver was a girl in cool shades. When lights went green she sped off like a street racer, zipping here and there. Coincidentally, met her and her bro at SG workshop. They became first customer of the day. Had a nice chat with them, topics relating to FoFi. The treatment took around 6-7hours, so I left the place and came back end of the day to pick up. To my surprise, the SG manager apologize to me. I asked why. He said, there was a mix up! He was given the impression that the brother I spoke to was me. In actual fact they didn't make an appointment. It was also odd to him because that morning suppose to have 1 FoFi and arrived 2 instead.
Therefore, Mr.Paul and Paul's sister whom in that blue FoFi, you cut queue so next time, if got TT, tea on you, k? Thank you.

Re: Sierra Glow vs PPS
Yes need to wait. Better bring a friend along so he or she can fetch you to do your own things. The last time I went was a Monday morning and I went to my customer's office to work there.
And for the benefit of others, my SG on my Fofi, to me is still working. No wax no polish, wash easy but difference now pay ppl to wash.
What color is your fofi?

Re: Sierra Glow vs PPS
hye,
same as pullman's question..
for xtr, or any car that have sticker,
either Sierra Glow nor PPS does any of it effect the sticker?
considering sierra glow is new, maybe it is better for car with sticker??

Re: Sierra Glow vs PPS
after reading from soooo many forum/blog.. @_@ I've decided to go for SG.
according to those owner, SG n PPS both offers 5 yrs warranty, both are good even after 1 or 2 years, which require wash and wipe only, n your car still blink blink, water still bead.
but PPS have to do maintenance every 6mths, cost you RM100+
where SG don't need, n the installation price also cheaper
