After shutting off the engine, and preparing to disembark from your fofi, flick the left hand stalk (signal stalk) towards you like you are switching on the high beam.
You will hear a chime, and you headlamps will stay on for...I think one minute?....even after you locked your car.

It's actually half of that and will stay on for 30 secs after all doors are closed or stay on for 3 minutes if the doors are still open. Opening the door after closing resets the timer.

Re: Follow me home light function
Well...there is no disabling the function as you have to manually activate the "Follow me Home Lights" by flicking the left hand stalk if you want it to be activated. If not, the lights will just off as usual when you lock your car, same as your radio's 1 hour mode.

Re: Follow me home light function
The headlamps (parking lamps, actually) do switch on whenever you disarm the alarm, not sure if that is part of the FMHL function.

Re: Follow me home light function
Nope, that is not part of the Follow me Home Lights function (FHML). The FMHL is more of a safety feature in a way I would say or at least more of a convenience piece. Where the car lights your way/path towards the direction you will be heading for safe passage.
As for the headlamps switching on, its wired to be turned on when unlocking/disabling your alarm. Its more of an aesthetic feature a "Welcome back to your beloved Fofi! Here I am! " if I would say so.
