Trade in Alza for Fiesta? Empty Trade in Alza for Fiesta?

Post by mobilo 2013-01-05, 5:35 pm

Hi there,

I'm planning to trade in current Alza to Fiesta? Worth it?

Can any sifoo here advise on the following...

1) What is common interest rate for new fiesta?

2) Service Interval? 5km, 10km or 15km periodically?

3) How is the service rate per visit if Ford do not offer Free Service/Maintenance?

4) I don't bother on the resale value since I will use the Fiesta for long run.

TQ in advance Cool

Well it all depends on what you are looking for in a car. As you now have a Alza, moving to a Fofi, you will be sacrificing a lot of space as the cabin is quite small, even more so if you are going for the Sports trim. However, you will get a better handling car, a car equipped with the latest safety features, and over all a better driving experience.

1. It depends on how long of a loan are you looking at and how much down payment are you going to put. But most commonly around 2.5% for 5 years.

2. The service interval is every 10k km or every 6 months whichever comes first. You will have 3 years free service and 5 years warranty

3. It is approximately RM 350 per 10k km interval. (As far as I heard and read, correct me if I am wrong)

4. Err...not really a question. But you might want to hold off for awhile if you can because Ford My announced that they have a surprise in store for future Fofi owners. I am not sure what it is...1.5 or Ecoboost? Razz

You're trading a 7 seater for a 5 seater that has cramped rear seats, so you have to ask yourself what kind of car that you need, a sporty hatchback (assuming you are going for the hatchback) or a family MPV.

quality-wise, Ford is in a different league than Perodua, then there is the 3 years free maintenance and 5 years warranty for a peace of mind.

Hello Fofian...

Thanks for your reply...

Decision of trading Alza to Fiesta becoz I would like my wifey to use the Fofi for her office drive. I'll use bike for daily commuter. BTW, we're loving couple with no kid yet.

Yes...I heard that SDAC will offer new Fofi variant as Thai's Ford already launch their 1.5 model and UK's Ford already launch new Fiesta facelift (aston martin nose) based on 1.0 ecoboost engine

Yea, Just checked the specs on the Thai Fofi 1.5l. There is basically no difference between the 1.6 and the 1.5. So there is no reason for SDAC to bring in the 1.5. Any other ideas on to what SDAC is hinting that might be coming?

The Suzie Swift handles better than the Fiesta (Fiesta is not far behind, though), but low speed acceleration is sluggish even for a 1.5l, the Fiesta can out-accelerate it like nobody's business.

For the higher end trims, it is equipped with keyless entry and engine start which is sorely missing from our fofi.

I believe they are coming out with the new Swift this year, the one with 1.4l engine.

On paper, yes, Fiesta HB has a larger boot volume.
