1.6 HB S Gear Box sound

Hi, When the gear changes automatically can hear sound like manual type "crek crek" Is it normal or I am having issue with my gearbox ? My car is 5 days old ny. Mainly for 1st to 3rd gear.

Bro when i read this, i started to pay attention this morning and there's no any sound at gear 1-3.. i think you should drive to service center and check it out

Waaa nice place and expensive place lah that one .... Wish I had a house there ... I monitored the sound yesterday after work and today. Now when changing to gear 2 could hear it "clerk erk" but very soft the sound, if play music in car could not hear dy. Wonder what is the issue. Would bring to SC when already 1k KM ... now ny going to be 500km in 1 week

You going to service at 1k KM ? as what my SA told me 1k KM service need to pay. they only provide free service @every 10k KM

1k service if change oil and filter ny need to pay right ? I am taking it for inspection only on any weird noise and gear box noise ... and any leak ... do they charge ? I heard from my friend they dont ....

if u suspect anything spoil they wont charge u for checking..n bro ur meaning gearbox got sound isit the sound something like rubber sound ? lol duno how to explained cuz jst now when i drive suddenly got 1 weiird sound...when only i stop at traffic light n speed.

Yeah, bringing to check for 1k km inspection. Worried on the gear sound. I have not went near any other Fiesta, so I feel my Engine sound is quite loud. So better to have an inspection on that.

Aiya rubber sound ah ? I don't know dy .. haha ... It is soft sound with 2 times "clerk cleerk" sound only from gear 1 - 3 sometimes 2 - 3 and sometimes no sound at all wo. HaHa. Did you tried to check again, stop and speed do you hear it ?

yes i did this morning & i heard that sound but when i get my car on the first day no sound..i guess we having the similar probs bro..lol

i called up SC n they said gear 1-3 will have slightly a lil sound but when u speed or up to gear 3 above no sound d..weird the sound came from the passenger side if i nt mistaken

Yes from passenger side there. Why weird one ? LoL ... but yes speed time it does not give sound. When slowly accel and gear change got de. Maybe since twin clutch its taking position ? Basically our auto gear works like manual one right ?

Owh noo ... Hope the reprogram thing have been passdown to SC & Dealer ... Other than that it is a great car lor. Best one to have. I had a choice to pick Inspira or Hyundai Elantra or FoFi ! I choosed FoFi because the subject is worth the money. Inspira just an rebadge with a lot of cheapskate issue, dont know which to trust. Elantra not my style of driving and got cheated by SA .. haha ... Overall I love my car

Yea i love my FoFi too. other than this gearbox issue i have no problem with it...

It is the sound of the ford dual clutch switching. Unlike conventional automatic, the fiesta gb is more jerky & "noisy" during start-stop.

Also, the gearbox will jerk badly if you lift foot off the pedal when going or in the middle of uphill. Eg, going up next shopping car park floor.

Sounds like a defect, but this is the mechanical characteristic of fiesta dual clutch gb.=)

Pepsiman seriously ? Yeah when accel and lift the foot off can hear the sound as well in 2nd gear ... I thought gone lah .. its end of my life .....

Now I am getting used to the sound dy .. hahaha ... My car engine getting to break in. I can feel the pick-up and more power now. ... 777km dy ...

i checked my mazda 3 also slightly got d similar sound..lol same goes to my FoFi..700km already. just nice in 1week time haha
