Locking the Fofi doors Empty Locking the Fofi doors

Post by dzeisen 2012-03-20, 12:25 pm

Hi there,

I always have a problem remembering to lock the door in this conti fofi car. Since it doesn't come with auto locking after driving away, I was wondering if other forumers also have the same issue and is there a process you do to make you always remember to lock the door.

Is there any modification to make auto locking possible on the fofi?

Thanks!

True... but this car is slightly different from the other std cars. For example, when someone exits the car, he/she only needs to open the car door (as if the door was never locked even if it is). I do hear a slight or faint click sound but sometimes I don't and I'm always wondering if I had locked it or not. After the person exits or enter the car, I have to remember again to lock the car door.

My only worry is that my 3 year old will open it cause it cant be lock from inside. Always have to put the child lock on and it's a bit inconvenience. But better be safe than sorry.

Hi guys, just would like to share a feature when unlocking our Fofi. This will reprogram your remote control to unlock only the drivers door and the rear boot lid if you press the unlock button once. The steps are as below:

1. Press the lock button to lock your Fofi
2. Press & hold both the unlock and lock buttons for approx 3 secs and you will see the signal light blink 3 times.

You're done! bounce

So after it has been reprogrammed, press the unlock button once and you will unlock the drivers door and rear boot lid. Press twice within 3 seconds and you will unlock all doors. Smile

Stay safe people! Smile

Thanks for the tip! Smile

So i think this is similar to child lock? like preventing kids from opening the door from inside.

Nah, this feature merely unlocks the driver door only as opposed to unlocking all doors with one press. This is to prevent strangers from entering your car via other doors when you disarm the alarm, which is useful for female drivers or those who drive during late nights.

The door can still be opened from inside.

Yep yep, what he said. It's to prevent people entering via the other doors. Like the video below. The thieves are getting more and more bolder. Mad

Is very useful, nice information!
Btw.. prevention is more important than asking help from police. Since most of them are useless.

Another quick question,

When you reprogram the remote key, the current settings will be saved just like this right? So, is there any way to reset it to default? Or just take out the battery and put it back again?

I'm gonna try this setup at 6.30pm!
