DIY - Re-program the Unlocking function
**Special dedicated for those who always drive alone (especially our lovely+sweet female drivers), and this is good for your safety purposes.
factory setting :
1. press [Unlock] button
2. ALL doors including luggage compartment (car boot) will be unlocked
where someone could have slipped inside your car while u are busy loading things into your luggage compartment... (happened in Msia)
so, u actually have an option to change the setting to
1. press [Unlock] button
2. ONLY driver's door and luggage compartment (car boot) will be unlocked
3. press [Unlock] button again to unlock ALL doors
to do this, it is VERY SIMPLE
1. off your engine
2. press and hold the [Unlock]+[Lock] buttons together and wait for more than 4 seconds
3. direction indicators light will flash twice to confirm the changes
4. done.
to switch back to the factory setting, just repeat the steps will do.
enjoy driving~

Re: DIY - Re-program the Unlocking function
just curious.. why bother with this? the moment you open the door, the door will automatically unlock.
btw, on my fofi, the unlock and lock is the same button..

Re: DIY - Re-program the Unlocking function
Have some question to ask here...since the lock and unlock mechanism are also used in the rear boot, so does this mean when we unlock our doors, someone can just open the rear boot as well?
I know the answer is yes.
It sounds unsafe since some of us may put expensive items like laptop bags in the boot. So someone may target the boot when you go pick-up friends at the road side.
Any solution for this??

Re: DIY - Re-program the Unlocking function
You need to unlock the doors to pick up passenger. But once you unlocked, the boot is unlock as well. Giving opportunity for thiefs to target your boot for you expensive items.
Any idea not to unlock the boot??
