Re: Fiesta Transmission
Why Ford SYNC kenot support?deladela wrote:My List of things I want from the New Fiesta
1. Select Shift with a shift gate
2. Ford SYNC (My sales person told me that our older Model can't support it )
3. Honorable mentions, Auto Headlights & Push Start & Airbags.
Owh well...anyways, I feel it so much smoother using BHP as opposed to Shell that I have always been using. It feels so much smoother and less jerky compared to others. As for our transmission, the worst can be felt when being stuck in jam going up a hill. Horrendous!
Software oni ma :xWorst come to worst swap out the whole HU

That's what I thought too since everything looks the same...but he told me that the dashboard is different and has to be changed.
I guess i'd have to go ask another SA then for a second opinion.

Re: Fiesta Transmission
I think you'd have more luck waiting a few more months then asking the service advisors at service centers, particularly SDAC SCs. They should have more information by then when the new Fiestas are started to be serviced or warranty claims being made.deladela wrote:Right Right?dares wrote:Why Ford SYNC kenot support?deladela wrote:My List of things I want from the New Fiesta

Re: Fiesta Transmission
To add salt to wound, the facelift Fiesta can switch off the traction control via the Ford SYNC HU Not sure if that includes the ESC though

No Way!dares wrote:To add salt to wound, the facelift Fiesta can switch off the traction control via the Ford SYNC HU :evil:Not sure if that includes the ESC though
Next you will see the Fofis Drifting through corners.
Ugh...it pains me to pass by Ford Centre everyday @ Ulu Kelang. So many new cars.
Even a Tangerine Scream Focus ST.
Yea, I think I should ask the Service advisers rather than the Sales. Thanks!dares wrote:I think you'd have more luck waiting a few more months then asking the service advisors at service centers, particularly SDAC SCs. Hopefully we are able to input SYNC.

Re: Fiesta Transmission
There's a Tangerine Scream Fofo ST in the SDAC PJ showroom. Every time I visit their SC I'll go molest the seats and the gear shifter. God damn that car is scalding hotdeladela wrote:No Way!dares wrote:To add salt to wound, the facelift Fiesta can switch off the traction control via the Ford SYNC HU :evil:Not sure if that includes the ESC though

Re: Fiesta Transmission
In L mode, the gears only shift near redline. That's why I've experienced and probably useful, say, on track. Grade Assist button is for useful than the L mode most of time.

In my case the gear didn't shift at all...it just holds the gear at redlinemoolastrikes wrote:In L mode, the gears only shift near redline. That's why I've experienced and probably useful, say, on track. Grade Assist button is for useful than the L mode most of time.

Re: Fiesta Transmission
tested it once again..turned out that the ecu was dragging the first gear the longest before shifting to the next gear..i sorta chickened out before coz the engine was very loud as it redlined.moolastrikes wrote:girlieman wrote:In my case the gear didn't shift at all...it just holds the gear at redlinemoolastrikes wrote:In L mode, the gears only shift near redline.
