i reckon there's no need for gear box oil as the unit our fiesta use is the dryclutch gertrag gearbox which is sealed for life. correct me if i'm wrong.

Hey Elten, if not i'm mistaken, and according to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (i think Fiesta uses this model), the gearbox is sealed for life (no oil change?) and the dual-clutch is dry unit so no oil for the clutches.

I heard u need oil change only if the gearbox is leaky and it's due to bad seal. Well, I supposed that's a bad tranny went pass the QC undetected.

Hope my info are accurate as well. Cheers.

Recently I went to service my car, the SA recommended to change the gear box oil at 80k mileage.

Hi moolastrikes...

flames84 is right, recommended is 80k by SDAC but actuall Ford recommendation to be above 100k or not exceed 120k

dry-clutch also need change but longer life span, you can check you manual always.. more over our weather is hot so i agree that SDAC request for faster gear oil replenishment & flushing
