Driver side Power Window
Hi,
My fiesta exhibits this funny issue. When I took possession of the car just last week, the power window will go up and down automatically when I press the button.
However, just a few days ago, the power window will only go down automatically. I need to pull up and hold the button all the way until the window closes. Is there a setting for this? Could it be a malfunction?
Thanks!

Re: Driver side Power Window
Hi bro, maybe u can try to reprogram it. When I first get my car no auto up or down.pull the switch up till the window is closed and hold it a few seconds. Maybe 10s. Then let go and do the same for down. See if it works before heading to sc

Re: Driver side Power Window
Yes - it works! I also searched on the Ford forums and it is indicated that this method is used for Ford Focus.
Very simple - if your power window doesn't go up or down automatically, do the following:
1. Press the down button completely until your power window goes down.
2. Press and hold the down button for at least 5 seconds.
3. Press the up button completely until your power window goes up.
3. Press and hold the up button for at least 5 seconds.
Your power window will now automatically go up or down with a single push of the button.
Thanks to f2000 for the heads up and the rest for the meaningful support!

Dear all,
This is usually happened after u have try to play with the power window safety features... In other words, when there is an object blocking your window while is wind up, it will bounce back to prevent any accident.. By playing with you power window safety feature for three (3) times n a row, therefore it will cause your power window to wind up manually...
In order to reset just do as above... This is a basic to most car, most of the conti car are built with these features...
