Strut bars
First of all i'm a complete newbie with cars, so please enlighten me on this subject.
I feel that sometimes when cornering the car feels "rocking" sideways especially on bumpy (small bumps) roads. Question is will adding strut bars improve my handling? If so how do i install it? As i see it, no room to fit one on the front.
And before anyone ask, no i wont getting after-market suspension kits atm (if there's any). I want to use my stock parts as long as i can.
Thanks.
Edit: Just out of curiosity, is it possible to replace the rear brakes with discs? (asking here since there's no "brakes" subforum)

Re: Strut bars
Firstly, make sure the tire pressures are right.
By "rocking sideways" are you saying a sideways motion ( yaw) or a up and down motion?
This is a characteristic of torsion bar rear suspension.
Using strut and chasisi bars will help of course in overall handling, but this basic feature will still remain to a lesser extent.
The best recourse will be to lower the car with Eibach first.
Bug has the entire set, including the front tower strut bar.

Re: Strut bars
Yaw, that's the word. Lowering the car height isnt an option atm, i drove iswara for nine years before, lowered ofc (my brother did it). Suffice to say my butt hurts. Also i develop absolute hatred towards speed bumps over the years.
Well if it's torsion bar traits, then it's nothing to worry about. Still it would be better to "lessen" it without resorting to do something eloborate.

Ultra Racing Front Strut Bars
Just got my Ultra Racing Front Strut Bar for my fiesta today. It feels and looks great.

Cornering feels amazing right now even while going at high speeds.
Did it up at Kakimotor at Bandar Sunway. Great service there, highly recommend it to anyone who wants to put strut bars on their cars.

Re: Strut bars
PhDKhengSeong, UR seems sometimes to be over designed also do u know that by adding unnecessary bar in the car body could increase car accident rate? UR bar make the crumpler zone disappear!

install front strut bar will increase accident rate? How???
UR bar front strut bar is just 2 point, not like the 4 point for Kelisas and Kancils. Your front crumple zone will be fine.

Re: Strut bars
how come it can affect the crumple zone? its installed horizontally with the crumple zone(assuming collision is from the front).if impact are from side,i dont think there is much diff between with or without the UR bar
